Today, the Centre Hall Library serves all of the Penns Valley Area with an ever-expanding collection of materials for all ages. Hundreds of books, audiobooks, movies, and magazines fill the shelves. Additional resources such as ukuleles, tablet readers, laptop computers, a microscope and slides, Osmo learning system, ebooks and more are available. The library offers free programs for pre-schoolers, homeschoolers, school-aged children, teens, adults and families.
Partnership for Penns Valley Library Services (PPVLS), formerly The Centre Hall Library Association, works alongside the library to financially support these endeavors. Through the Annual Steak Dinner, hoagie sales, bake sales and on-going lobby book sale, as well as grants from AAUW and Centre Foundation, the Association is able to provide audiobooks, DVDs, laptops, large print books, library furnishings, tutoring and homeschooling resources.
Meet our Centre Hall Library Manager, Kathleen Edwards. Kathleen started December 14, 2020. Kathleen focuses on our patrons and is working hard to expand the library’s programming and materials offerings.
