The Centre Hall Area Branch Library has become an important hub of the Penns Valley community. The original dream that seemed so large at the time has now reached its limits. We need your help in building a larger space. Following your dreams, we hope to include expanded meeting space and programming space.
The current plans will significantly increase our facility’s size, adding community space and increasing the occupancy. Additionally there will be new bathrooms, staff support space, an update to the current library area for better lighting, computer space, reading and materials storage areas.
The architectural estimates for the work are at $550,000. We will be working with local contractors to bid out the work. The expanded facility will also incorporate environmentally friendly solutions, including more efficient LED lighting and other materials used in LEED-rated buildings. LEED (LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) buildings are among the most energy-efficient in the world.
Your contributions will help to make this a reality. Please see our “Take Action” page to find out how to donate.
